The birth of a new child is a blessing, although it can prove challenging at times too! Sibling who are in the toddler years might struggle with the idea of not being the baby anymore, while teenage sibling might struggle with the need for more privacy and space. While there are many solutions to easing sibling tension following the birth of a new baby, one positive idea of the many is to install garage screens, and turn your garage into a separate, semi-outdoor living area. This space can be utilized in many different ways to help ease the stress siblings feel with the addition of a new family member.

For teenagers, a separate space away from the main living areas can be a much needed and appreciated haven of peace. A few rugs, an old couch and a TV can make this a peaceful place where they can have friends over, and take a break from being the big brother or sister. Garage screens of course add the wonderful feel of being outdoors, which adds to the relaxing nature of a garage turned haven. For younger children, the space can be used as a new, special play area just for them. Again, with the addition of rugs, an old couch, and shelves to organize all of their favorite toys, the new space can be the perfect place for spending one-on-one time alone with mom and dad.
