Retractable Screens For Sun Protection
November 11, 2009 – 7:09 pmWhen we moved into our new home we contracted with a builder to install a sun room that would cover the back patio. We wanted something that could be used year around whether it was raining or not. The room that was built can be used twelve months out of the year if you do not mind the heat. Once the sun hits the large expanse of glass the temperature starts to rise and it soon becomes unbearable to be in. When the sun goes down and the heat escapes the room is once again usable. It seemed obvious to me that what we needed were some sort of retractable screens that could be installed to stop the suns rays from beating down on us.
After a search for what was available we invited a Stoett representative out to the house for recommendations. He recommended a series of retractable screens to cover each section of the windows. Now with the push of a button we can cover or open each pane of glass in the room. We are in control and can allow as much sun light in as little sun light in as we wish. The room now meets its expectation of being usable twelve months a year.
