Using Retractable Screens For Natural Ventilation

We live on a hillside with a north westerly exposure.   During the morning hours our home is always maintained at a comfortable temperature by the installed insulation.  However when the sun comes over the roof line things start to heat up.   We close all doors and windows and turn on the air conditioning unit.  By evening things have cooled off outside and we wish we had that cool evening breeze circulating throughout the house.  We had considered various types of screen doors and then decided on the retractable screens because our rear doors are of the french door variety and have a double opening.

Retractable screens were not an easy thing to find.  Many places we looked had suggestions but none of them would provide a complete coverage for the french door openings and some even suggested keeping one of the doors permanently in the closed position.  This was not a satisfactory solution for us so we kept looking.  When we finally found the Stoett model we saw hope for our dilemma.  By using two door that meet in the middle we can open one or both of them as the need be.   We also have the ability to open one or both of our french doors for the natural ventilation.
