Pool Enclosure Project #4589: Imagine a clear sky opening in a matter of minutes . . . all at the touch of a button! Libart helped create this unique aquatic environment for the residents of a large multi-family housing facility by providing a unique 170-degree Freestanding Retractable Pool Enclosure System. Due to scheduling restrictions, this project utilized Libart’s “Fast Track” Program, which enabled expedited design, fabrication, and delivery services to meet the tight scheduling requirements of 10 weeks. Since a clear sky view was a key design criterion, Libart provided a retractable roof with an innovative design that included an integrated “thermal break”. Multi-wall standing seam polycarbonate was utilized in long sheets that stretch from one side to the other and are applied on top of framing members to provide this thermal barrier. Solar Control Polycarbonate Glazing was also utilized to reduce solar heat gain and HVAC utility costs.
